Nick Rowe

I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Finance at the Essex Business School of the University of Essex in Colchester, UK. I earned a Ph.D. in Economics at Michigan State University and a B.Sc. in Economics at Portland State University (yes, that Portland).

My research interests lie at the intersection of macroeconomics, corporate finance & banking, and firm behaviour. In a nutshell, I explore the factors that drive variation in firm financial access, how this variation in financial access can shape firm behaviour, and the implications thereof for growth, trade, and policy.
